This week I decided to take a look at this Craigslist posting:
This ad makes it sound like you’ll get information at the website on these different types of jobs. But when I visited the website this is what I found:
If you start clicking on the links at the bottom, they take you to websites where you have to PAY for the information on these companies. Now I have nothing against making money off sending people information on work from home jobs – I actually do that with my eBooks, as do several other people I know. What I do have a problem with is the wording of the ad – it leads the reader to believe they’ll receive information on these jobs when they go to the website, when in fact all the website does is direct them to other websites where they have to pay for the information on these companies.
By the way, if you live in Canada and you’re reading this, you can check out Real Ways to Earn Money Online and Work at Home Adventures for free information on several legit companies that hire in Canada. Click on my “Resources for People Who Work from Home” page above.
So is this posting a scam? Yes I would say it is in that it leads the reader to believe they’re going to get information by visiting that website, when in fact all it does is lead them to other websites.
